ALLARDYCE HOPES CARROLL IS RESTED

The West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has said that he is hoping that the England manager Roy Hodgson will take good care of the striker Andy Carroll, who is currently on loan at the London club.

Sam Allardyce managed to pull off a major coup for the final day of the transfer window by bringing in the Liverpool striker Andy Carroll on a season long loan deal. However, immediately after arriving at the club, the striker was injured in the second match for the new club. The hamstring injury has kept him out of action for the last few weeks, but he recently returned to the starting line-up against Arsenal.

Even though he was not able to prevent West Ham United from losing the match 3-1 to their London rivals, Andy Carroll has been called up for the England national team that will be playing against San Marino and Poland in the World Cup qualifying matches. Due to the presence of other high-profile strikers, it is not guaranteed that Andy Carroll will start the match. Still, the West Ham manager has requested the England manager Roy Hodgson to take care of the striker because a lot of his hopes for the rest of the season rests on the former Newcastle United target man.

“Andy is really lacking in match practice. What I will speak to Roy about is his fatigue level. Andy will be stiffer than everybody else after this because he hasn’t played a full 90 minutes in recent weeks, so he will take a bit more time to recover. But he should be fine for Friday and hopefully he will get a game at some stage to improve his match fitness,” said the West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce ahead of the international break that will see England play two matches.
